Advanced Desalination Water Treatment Systems
Ever wonder how those big ships can provide enough water for their troops when they are out at sea for months? Its called Reverse Osmosis or Desalination. The same principals apply whether you are producing excellent quality drinking water from a small reverse osmosis system under your kitchen sink or producing water for drinking, bathing and general purpose from the ocean for thousands of sailors at sea. The reverse osmosis technology is similar except the membrane is heavier and a higher pressure (pump) is required, Sea Water systems are commonly known as Water Makers and have been around since the 1950s.
Whether you have a small sailboat or a huge yacht, Vibrant Water can custom build a sea water purification system that will fit in your boat. Since every square inch is utilized in boats, every sea water system Vibrant Water builds is from the customer’s foot print (dimensions).
Production requirements are needed as well to provide you with enough potable water while at sea.
These systems consist of:
- Manual Switch to activate the system
- Pre-Filtration
- Anti Scale Device
- Pressure Boost Pump
- Reverse Osmosis Membrane
- Ultra Violet Disinfection (optional)
The product water from the Water Makers is sent to the boats fresh water storage tank where floats and level sensors are installed. Once the water reaches a pre-determined level, the system automatically shuts off. You can shut it off manually as well or leave it on and as water is used the system will activate and begin production to refill the tanks. Service and maintenance is very similar to a household unit. Regular pre-filtration cartridges need to be replaced depending on the usage of water.
